MAY 2017 SECOND QUARTER DEWORMING EXERCISE/MISSIONARY OUTREACH
It is indeed glorious, marvelous and wonderful what God can do. The second quarter deworming exercise and medical mission outreach was the first of its kind. The journey started on Monday the 22ndth of May 2017 and ended on Thursday the 26 of May 2017. This trip was unique in many ways:
- It was the first time we combined medical mission and school deworming.
- It was the first time we had white missionaries (Pastor Bill Rose and Brother John Blansett) going with us on the trip.
We were an 11 man team from Abuja, Jos and Gembu in Taraba State who joined up with 15 more members from Katsina-Ala mission zone. It was a wonderful outreach program. The medical outreach took place in Kumbur. We covered a total of 4 primary schools namely:
- Kpav Comprehensive Children’s Academy, Tor Donga
- Ake Nursery and Primary School, Anande
- NKST Pilot Science Primary School, Mbagena-Kpav
- Mimidoo Academy, Shikaan.
SUMMARY:
- We visited 4 primary schools.
- A total of 3500 people were dewormed.
- We treated about 500 patients with various ailments in Kumbur, Shikaan and Damsa.
- We gave out 50 water filters.
- About 250 people prayed to receive Christ in the course of this program.
- Only one soccer ball was given out to a school.
