Third Quarter 2016

REPORT OF THE THIRD QUARTER DEWORMING EXERCISE OF 7-13 NOV. 2016 IN KATSIN A-ALA MISSION FIELD

We must go with Jesus everywhere no matter the roughness of the road” is a slogan that emanated from our hearts with a deep sense of commitment and determination to preach the gospel, all odds not  withstanding. In did, the roads were physically bad. This is the beginning of dry season in Nigeria after about six months of rainy season. The erosions and flood that hit these tracks called road made it almost impassable. The small car we had could not make it to all the places we wanted to reach. As a result of this we had to make it up with motor bike and some places with trekking. My joy is that our team members did this with joy and excitement.

The exercise which was scheduled to take place in October was shifted to early November due to logistic reasons. The journey started on 7th of Nov. 2016 and ended on 14 of same month. This time our team members were drawn from the following states: Enugu, Plateau, Adamawa, Nassarawa and Abuja. We all converged at Benue state where the mission field  is located. It was a wonderful time of reunion as some of the team members had not gone with us for the past two years. The trip was unique in the sense that we had a 3-day convention with about 13 churches in the field in attendance. It was very powerful. Many people were saved, a lot were delivered, healed and they regained their freedom. 25 pieces of new wrappers were given out to poor rural women majority of who were widows. 20 families received water filters and they were excited. This was as much as our car could carry. We visited a total of 8 schools and 9 communities. The total number of people dewormed were 2361. 100 people were treated of malaria. 300 people prayed to receive Christ.
